Her Majesty Juno Katalina second in command or "Uno" as my son says |
Here she is...Miss America! Refusing to play with her fish because I told her to.
So here is Juno after a few weeks in our home. Yes, we have light carpet, white doors and two toddlers.Crazy peeps, right?Yep.I am curious as to how many of you would have picked Juno for her name. She arrived with us in June as previously mentioned but... everyone says, "You named her Juno?Like the movie?" Well, yes and no. She does not look like Ellen Page or Jennifer Garner or a chic from 2007 at all. I simply chose Juno because she rather surprisingly showed up in June- via KittyStork Katie, as you'll recall.
However, it is funny that in times past Juno was: the patron goddess of Rome and the Roman Empire called Regina which means "Queen" and was worshiped as a triad on the Capitol (Juno Capitolina) in Rome. She was pictured warlike and with a peacock by her side according to Wikipedia.

Doesn't she look like a warlike queen in the photo above?And...Katie has a huge peacock tattoo-no lie.So, Juno seems like a perfect nombre for this kitty cat! Much sweeter, I thought initially, than Sparta. For those of you who don't know what I'm referring to check out this video on YouTube that my little boy loves to watch!
