It all started when Katie found her in a Dollar General store parking lot on a Tuesday in late June."No one wants her, my dog is trying to seriously eat her and she needs a home... tonight." 10 pm the kitty stork (aka Katie) arrived with a carrier containing a small, smelly ball of flea invaded fur.We spent two hours cleaning her up and two weeks deciding on Juno Katalina for her name. She is now part of the family-a family with a toddler and here are our tales.

A Tale of Two Toddlers: Return from the Vet
This is how a day goes in our house. Wake up 30 minutes before time to take the cat to the vet-oops. Wet and gel hair, deodorize pits and dress mommy.Sneak into garage wearing hot pink house slippers to get pet taxi out while toddler is still asleep.Check the diaper bag while eating breakfast smoothie (purchased on credit at midnight because we haven't been paid yet) from the juice section of Walmart. Pack toddler on the go breakfast-cereal bar and sippy cup of whole milk (probably also purchased late at night in Walmart). Dress the still sleeping toddler-diaper change, fresh shirt and pants and slip on sandals-scratch the shirt, he is still wearing a jammy shirt. Catch Juno who thinks you're playing while she attacks the hot pink house slippers and "cage" her- this is one taxi she did not hail. Change out of hot pink house slippers before you leave (and forget). Strap in a fuzzy headed toddler, swing the pet taxi (with cat meowing and quivering within) in the back seat facing the toddler and toss the cereal bar and milk at the toddler.Drive while singing "The vet is a special dr. for our pet..." and try to talk to Juno so she knows'mommy is with her'. Juno arrives to the vet for a follow up and booster- ten minutes late and there are cereal bar crumbs on everyone. After all is taken care of at the vet's office we go home, unload everyone and then...Juno comes home and decides to destroy her bowl of dry kibble.Pouncing her way around toddler and kibble she makes one mess in the kitchen on the north end, while toddler child manages to express his beautiful artistic side with neon orange, purple, and gray Crayola crayons. I love Crayola crayons by the way, they are the best.-nothing like those crumbly cheap ones restaurants hand out at the dinner table. An hour later I sweep with a toddler kitten dangling off of the end of my bright yellow broom and two days later I buy Magic Erasers and rid the kitchen of some of the artwork. It is quite an adventure everyday.....as I type this the cat is eating the toddler's cheese......oh boy. "No Kitty!"
